I do it all the time. What I do is bring up the pedigree I want to save. Then I click File, Save as Picture. Then I go to Paint Shop Pro and bring up the pedigree. Then I save it as a JPEG file--and send it out. This way whoever is at the other end is usually able to open it and read it as almost everyone's computer has the ability to read JPEG files.
