I thought you might like an up date re my erring youngest son who if you remember took himself off to Chicago with a friend when I thought I had returned him to Lancaster to do some work prior to returning to University. Well - there was a deathly hush after his email complaining about the traffic and commenting that the next day he would try to get arrested - maybe he had been successful I thought! Despite the fact that I had emailed him telephone numbers of kind folk (you know who you are) who had offered to bail him out if need be not a dicky bird did I hear from him!! SO where was he? Somewhere between Chicago and New Orleans???? Not at all!! I got a phone call on Wednesday afternoon (I think!) "Hello mother it's Anthony - how are you?" Who else but Anthony calls me "mother" and repeatedly asks how I am, usually when he is trying to avoid answering a question Where are you I ask - did you get to New Orleans? Very condescending voice at the other end of the line asks do I not watch TV - the weather reports were bad down in the south! So where are you???? Central Park NEW York!!!!!!!! He could have darned well flown there in the first place!!!! I never did find out where he had been in the preceding week nor where he was staying in New York. Merely got informed that internal flights were expensive and asked re my health! I assume that he is returning to Chicago to fly home unless he gets detained along the way - I hope! VBG otherwise no doubt I will get a call for clothes to be laundered and/or a food parcel.
At least Miss Chief was pleased to see me today after her little holiday and she didn't ask how I was!!! (just to make it vaguely dog related!
