I contacted the family who lost the dog in Somers, CT. Apparently they
were dog sitting their neighbor's dog and they were returning him home that
night about dinner time. Since the dog lived next door he was unleashed.
They feel that he was possibly stung by a bee and he "bolted" . They were
unable to get the dog back. He was seen the next morning on the next
street but was unable to be captured. This happened about one month ago.

We did go to the Petfinder site and found that the dog that they have there
is a Cavalier mix. Not Mugsy.

The dog has not been seen since. Since the town is close to the border of
MA I also suggested that they contact the dog wardens in surrounding towns
in hopes that maybe the dog made it's way there and by this time could have
been re-homed with a new family. The other, sadder thought is that this is
a rural area with coyotes and fox. Since the second sighting he has not
been seen again.

At this point, other than alerting the dog wardens and sending flyers to
all of the vets in the area what can the list sugggest? They have placed
ads and from what he told me the whole town was on the alert for this
little boy. Mugsy is 5 years old. He was not microchipped. I don't know
who the original breeder was.

Mnay thanks

Sharona
