well I have been silent for some time because I am learning about cavaliers. Though I have been a fancier for 18 years I have bred only a few litters. However I am very torn about judging a breed -any breed-putting up an inferior exhibit and then telling a looser that his dog was better but did not win because............... I can tell you the rep would be at the ring in two minutes and then we know what happens. If we are to leave the altered dog (either by color or knife) out of the ribbons ,we better be excusing it or disqualifying it. Elaine Whitney
