Suze, Come on out!! We would love to have you in Colorado. But be warned we are having water problems here to, not because of the lack of it the last two years but because so many people are flocking to our state and tapping into our underground supply. I worry for you and the others having to deal with bad water. Must be just awful. Need to tell you we are finally moved in pretty much and have redone the back potty area by removing the grass and putting in pine chips and mulch which is what the pups were used to in the mountain home. They like it much more and it is easier to clean. Hans uses sand after trying everything else. Sand is a great idea if you are close to a good source. He says it is easy to clean and they don't carry it on their feet. I think it must be great for their muscles too. While he was here we had our first fence-jumping. I was just walking on the outside of the fence and Cozette wanted to be with me so she FLEW out to join us. I freaked. Then Hans and hubby went to work immediately, while my dinner got cold, and put an extension on our fenced area that hangs out over the ground away from the fence about 10 inches. Now she just looks at it puzzled.
Please do come out and see us and maybe move here. We would love it and you would too. No bugs, no heat, no fleas, mosquitoes. Just deer, a possibly bear or two each night. I can handle bears but not fleas.
