United personnel On the plane were quite rude recently - but otherwise quite nice - I've noted an apparent lack of concern for dogs: not particularily - some confusion & surprise - or just ignoring us
I believe that the rules regarding pet travel are extreme and/or confusing:
YES - one says this, another something else - and - personal experience says the Airline Personnel are not knowledgable about what they are supposed to say / do / recommend!
Cost is definitely a factor:
Cost is one area that is Confusing to me! I've now flown with a Cavalier on two different airlines and both times I was not charged at the ticket counter, but was informed while mid way across the ocean that I should have paid & why didn't I!?!? Well - because they didn't mention it to me at the ticket counter - while the Sherpa bag with pup were sitting On the counter - I've read on the list that there are charges that range from $50 to $150 for taking a pet in the cabin with you.
