Robin, On my girl who just failed her OFA, she had had a prelim at about one year and it was "borderline." I went 200 miles to the closest vet with the small dog device for PennHip and they were rated pretty loose. Looking back, I should have spayed and placed her then, but the breeder insisted they "all" improve. I continued to show her. She had one agility title (UKC only--lower jump heights) and needed one major to finish her CH. At 25 months in June, she did not pass OFA and was spayed at that time. So that was my experience!
