I find my girls usually reach full height by 8-10 months of age--when they come in season most of the time they are done growing *up*. Boys however, take longer. Many boys don't quit growing till 12 months of age or later. I can remember last year when I took in Roycroft Top Notch to have his hips prelim'd. He was about 11 months old at the time. When they brought the xrays in the first thing I noticed was that his growth plates hadn't closed. It was very obvious--much more obvious than I had ever noticed before! I was glad because at that point he wasn't even 12 inches tall! So I left feeling pretty good--his hips looked great (he also got a Good on his permanent OFA) AND I knew he still had a lot of growing to do. He ended up close to 12 1/2 inches tall but took his time getting there. I have also had boys and girls who were done growing up by 6 months of age--but they are the exception rather than the rule.
