Well, I'm still on Cloud 9. My little bred-by 3 1/2 year old tri, Ruffe Going in Style (Luxxar Broadway x Hillview Gigi [Ravenrush Tartan x Bramble Opium] finished his championship today, owner handled all of the way. He got his first points out of American Bred so he won't get one of those bred-by medals, my mistake.
Gadget's show career includes winning two four-point majors and one three-point major. I'm so proud of him! Special thanks must go to Renee Bruns for going to the trouble to approach me the first time we were out in the ring with Gadget and with his littermate brother, Gromit. We were just beginners, bumbling around, and she was so generous and encouraging that day, and has been every day since. Had it not been for her encouragement, and, eventually, loyal friendship and yes, love, I don't know whether I would have been able to sustain the enthusiasm I initially had for showing my boys given the lack of experience their pet quality handlers had. She has cheered me on every day, every time I've had doubts, every time we've been disappointed, even when she's kicked my butt in the ring! LOL! Thank you, thank you, dear friend, Renee. Much love to you always. And Whoooopppeeeee! for Gadget. Watch for Gromit (Ruffe Gift of Love) to do similar things this fall.
