You are encouraged to try again though! ;-)
Seriously, we are working on getting the core pushed to LKML and cleaning up the IO and memory controller work so they can be aired on LKML soon. The only reason I haven't pushed the most recent cleaned up patch to LMKL & akpm is that I'm not yet comfortable with the level of testing we've done, especially as relates to things like combinations of CONFIG options and various platform ports. We are nearing completion on that testing and should have a core set of patches ready to push towards -mm before the end of the week. Oh, and I found in reviewing things last night that we do have a couple of review comments that seem to have slipped through the cracks (Chris Wright has some functional observations that I don't have a fix for as yet). However, those should be relatively small. > I realise that takes as much effort as implementing > new features, but in order for CKRM to become more > prevalent it is necessary to have it in the upstream > kernel. I completely agree - having been a part of that effort. However, we are nearly completing that stage and also trying to get some general insight from the current users on what capabilities CKRM lacks today to make it useful when included in mainline. gerrit ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
