I would suggest moving the file operations in this patch and making the
"magic" rename one whole patch (17) rather than spreading it across two
patches (13 & 17).
In fact, it might make more sense to move patch 17 to 1. Doing so could
make it easier for non-CKRM developers to review the following patches.
