Well, an hour ago Google announced that students can now login and now
if they were accepted.
We were granted 6 GSoC's, which is a huge success!! Thanks to all of
those who applied and we
hope you stick with us even if you weren't accepted.
We will probably make the list of the accepted students public in the
coming hours but for now
let's keep it in suspense and have all applicants know their fate by
login into Google's web app.
Again, as Pau said, we were overwhelmed by the quality of the
applications and it was really,
really hard to rank them.

this is also an uneasy wait from the mentors side, since we don't
know the final number of acceptances yet (though we hope it will
be more than one.)
in the meanwhile i wanted to say, without overstating, that we
were absolutely overwhelmed by the great level of applicants
(letting alone that other great students could not finally work
out the app in time.). you can imagine that deciding a preference
order was extremely difficult.
we tried a "please, google, we'd love to take them all" but it
didn't work. :-/
