In my current setup, the IP lists extracted from the log files are
kept for seven days in the usual logfile rotation scheme.
Blackmilter re-reads its input files whenever it sees they
have changed, so it picks up the new addresses and forgets about
the seven-day-old addresses as soon as the log analysis script
finishes each night.

Of course you could run whatever list-expiration policy you like
on your site.  Keep them longer than seven days, rotate more often
than nightly, whatever.
