hi, I represent a proxy developing company. we are using clam-av in our anti-virus proxy s/w. As clam-av virus database is huge, we would like to ship the s/w without the database. I tried commenting the loading of database in the clam-av initialization. It works well, (using freshclam, subsequently we get the database), it displays, 'clamav is loaded with 0 signatures'.
The question is, if database loading is bypassed in the initialization, and before uploading the new database, if clam-av is requested for scanning mails, is there any chance of unexpected behaviour? Is there any remote chance, where clam-av may fail?
