Hi Having installed clamav-0.51 on a FreeBSD 4.3 machine yesterday I'm finding I can not close down clamd. Issuing the QUIT command disables any functionality, but it leaves the daemon running and accepting connections. ps still reports it and I can still telnet to localhost:3310, but I can't do anything having connected.
The only way to stop things completely is with a kill -KILL command. Well, that or scan the test2.zip or test3.rar file from the distribution :) Other things: *New viruses.db and 0.24* Until yesterday I was running 0.24. I had to upgrade in a hurry because the new virus database, which freshclam dutifully grabbed, sent 0.24 into a spin. Fortunately I happened to be sat near the affected machine when the update arrived and heard the disks thrashing so it received fairly prompt attention. *Web site - mailing list link* No, forget that one - it looks like it's fixed this morning. -- Chris Hastie --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
