Hi

I've had this problem a couple of times now. I suffer from being behind
a transparent HTTP proxy that intercepts all traffic on port 80. It's
well known amongst ntl: users that it's crap and doesn't refresh as
often as it should.

The problem I'm having is that I can see that the virus database has
been updated if I look at the directory index with my browser. But
Freshclam can't. It seems to get an old copy of the md5 from the
transparent proxy.

If I load the md5 in my browser and force the proxy to refresh using
ctrl+refresh Freshclam will then get the new md5 and start downloading.
Of course, I have to do the same to the database as well, or Freshclam
graps an old database from the proxy and complains about the md5 not
matching!

Is there any way to get Freshclam to force the proxy to reload - an
equivalent of ctrl+refresh perhaps? Or perhaps if the server returned a
suitable header about not caching it it would help, eg

Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate
Pragma: no-cache
