Currently clamd works like a champ under Linux and Solaris. Amavisd-new installation process (with clamscan and clamd) has been described by Chris Hastie few days ago: http://archive.elektrapro.com/clamav.elektrapro.com/users/2002/11/msg00105.html There are several problems with clamd under *BSD. Unhappily debugging is rather hard because clamd is a completely multi-threaded daemon. Anyway I will work on it, and try to make it more stable in the next release.
