Hullo I previously tried an earlier clamscan with infected file FOUND /proc/kcore
I am using Mandrake 9.0 with no Windows installed. The info suggested the virus was Vgen.13692. When I did a scan on just that file it then said it was W32.Magistr.B I am now using clamav version 20021113 and its scan of this direcory /proc results in lots of messages saying "EXCLUDED" [EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# clamscan -r -i /proc/kcore /proc/kcore: Excluded (/proc). ----------- SCAN SUMMARY ----------- Known viruses: 7292 Scanned directories: 0 Scanned files: 0 Infected files: 0 Data scanned: 0.00 Mb I/O buffer size: 131072 bytes Time: 0.900 sec (0 m 0 s) Below is proof scanner is working [EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# clamscan -r -i /bak/files/clamav-20021113 /bak/files/clamav-20021113/test/test2.zip: ClamAV-Test-Signature FOUND /bak/files/clamav-20021113/test/test3.rar: ClamAV-Test-Signature FOUND /bak/files/clamav-20021113/test/test1: ClamAV-Test-Signature FOUND ----------- SCAN SUMMARY ----------- Known viruses: 7292 Scanned directories: 37 Scanned files: 340 Infected files: 3 Data scanned: 5.92 Mb I/O buffer size: 131072 bytes Time: 9.630 sec (0 m 9 s) (1) I am guessing that EXCLUDED means the scanner will not currently scan any file in my directory /proc? (as zero files scanned) (2) Any assistance on this matter would be greatly assisted.
