Came into the office this morning to discover our SMTP was not working. Checked the log files and found a bunch of entries like this:
Aug 28 09:31:49 ns sendmail[5192]: h7SDQeLu005192: Milter (clmilter): error connecting to filter: Connection timed out with /var/run/clmilter.sock Aug 28 09:31:49 ns sendmail[5192]: h7SDQeLu005192: Milter (clmilter): to error state So, I removed the clmilter.sock file, and then restarted the milter and Sendmail.
