Hello all,
I thought I remembered something about this, but I can't find it
anywhere in my archives of this list. Does clamd not play nice with
logrotate? I just set it up and ran it by hand and clamd was still
running and doing its thing, but it stopped logging. I had to stop
clamd (and it held onto the socket for about 30secs) and then
(eventually) restart it. It seems to be running fine again.
clamd / ClamAV version 20030829
logrotate:
/export/clamav/log/clamd.log {
create 600 clamav clamav
rotate 20
daily
compress
compresscmd /usr/bin/bzip2
compressext .bz2
nomail
olddir /export/clamav/log/archive/
}
