Hi! I'm running sendmail (8.12.10) + clamav-milter + clamd (20030925 snapshot) on Solaris 8 and in principal I like the software (including the design) very much. Clamd has no problems to detect all the recent viruses (contrary to what I read during the last days in the list).
The only problem I have is the stability of this solution. Due to this reason I check periodically (every 5 min) if clamav-milter and clamd are running and also if clmilter.sock and clamd.sock exist. With the new version I have 2 problems: A) sometimes clmilter.sock disappears B) sometimes clamd crashes During the last night A) happend 22 times and B) happened 4 times. So it seems that with this version problem A) is the bigger problem. Any suggestions/ideas??? Is this problem known to the developer?? Does it exist also on other operating systems?
