Did you ever get this problem fixed?
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.security.virus.clamav.user/3156
if so how?
clamuko: corrupt or unknown clamd scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem
Yes I was able to solve this problem
From what I remember :
- I ran the command line for qmail-scanner calling clamav and it wasn't working any more (test_installation.sh) - reinstalled clamav to the latest stable version (supervised, see below) - reinstalled qmail-scanner on top of that making sure it detected spamassassin and clamav correctly (i actually specified it in the configure arguments)
stuff to check :
- if you're just getting this error on html messages, it still means clamav is messed up, because if you look you'll see that clamav by default doesn't get called for text format messages - if you're setting this up with qmail-scanner, you have to be following http://clamav.elektrapro.com/doc/clamd_supervised/clamd-daemontools-guide.txt - make sure you're using docs that go with your version and setup. in different versions and different setups, the users running the programs are different.
hope this helps,
all best,
--sam
