A sidenote to everyone using the CVS version: It seems sf.net's public CVS service lags behind the developer's CVS by at least one day (still/again). As of now the changes Nigel mentions here are not visible via public CVS.


I had success with the patch produced by Thomas Lamy at least for the 2 message that I have - are there some issues with that one ?

Unfortunately yes.
I invested a couple of hours this morning to fix it at last, and the result now really looks promising.


Stefan: The patch I sent you fixes the memory allocation bug, but wasn't correct in the end as it introduced another one (albeit I can't judge it's severity).

This patch is rather big for fixing such a simple bug, so I refrain from posting it here. Yet believing it is correct, I'll wait for Nigel's review this time ;-)
