On this background, I have 2 Magistr.A's over the last 24 hours.
My Postfix rejects all "standard" attachments prior to clam scanning, so the only
embedded viruses might get to clamav.
We have no other AV protection but this one (plus individual mail servers AV instaled,
obviously)

I would ask not how many viruses you see per day, but what proportion of
emails appear to be infected.
1-2 viruses per day is okay if you're handling <100 emails per day.
If your mail server is passing a few thousand emails, this is a suspiciously
low rate of infection.
Do you have any form of A-V protection from an upstream ISP?
