Try updating to a later version, since it may give more helpful messages in /var/log/messages. What options do you give to clamav-milter when starting it (on linux that'll probably be in /etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter)? Where do you create the two sockets required for clamav-milter (one for sendmail<->clamav-milter dialogue and one for clamav-milter<->clamd dialogue)? Assuming they're in /var/run/clamav please do: "ls -la /var/run/clamav". What value do you have for User in clamav.conf - does that user have the correct permissions to create the sockets? Using ps, are both clamd and clamav-milter running? -Nigel On Monday 22 Mar 2004 10:49 am, David Toman wrote: > Nigel Horne wrote: > >What version of clamav-milter?
