What distro are you using? Which RPMS are you trying to install?
A basic install would typically consist of clamav, clamav-db,
clamd, and libclamav (names may vary depending on who built the
RPMS and the distro). There are no non-standard requirements for
these RPMS.

If you're using Sendmail and want to run clamd from a milter, you
may want clamav-milter, which does require Sendmail (which would
itself require a bunch of other RPMs). If you're not using sendmail,
don't try to install clamav-milter and things will go smoother.
There's also probably no need to install the -devel libs in most
cases.
