Hello again, > This smells of freshclam downloading the virus definitions to one location > and clamav using a copy in a different location. Make sure > "DatabaseDirectory" has the same location in both /etc/freshclam.conf and > /etc/clamav.conf. Mine is DatabaseDirectory /var/lib/clamav
that remark seems not so bad as I thought first. May it be that clamscan does not respect the config file? If I add the -d option to tell clamscan where to find the database, it works correctly. Without that it fails. Is that a bug or a feature? In the clamscan.c there is included the clamav-config.h, but the defined constant isn't used anywhere in the source. All for clamav 0.70.
