Solaris 2.5, 2.6, 7 ,8, 9 packages from here as well

Just decided to compile it as the package install gave me the same error.
Can you just verify gmp-devel is part of gmp?
Tried the LDFLAGS thing still no luck. I am going to give up soon and just get clamav .70 online.
If I'm not mistaken, Sunfreeware's GMP is compiled for 64 bits and it's not easy to match that to Clam. I compiled GMP with 32 bits instead (read Clam docs) and had no problems.

Can you post the output when you run configure on Clam? I'm interested in what it says on the line with something like "gmpz".
There's no such thing as gmp-devel, it's just a Linux way of naming their RPM packages with the basic functionality in, for example, gmp and "advanced" functionality needed for development in gmp-devel, they do this for all packages. If you compile it yourself it does not apply. He who mislead you on this issue assumed you were on Red Hat Linux.
