Hi,

What are some other ways to get clamd support in postfix without using amavisd-new because I don't need all the features of amavisd-new.

My setup is really basic where everyone has a shell account so in order for everyone to have their own bayes databases, I need to run spamassassin outside of amavisd-new. If there aren't any decent alternative then I'll just run amavisd-new without the spamassassin settings.

You can use amavis and shut off the spamassassin settings, that would be one way.

I'm in the process of researching the setup of a Mac OS X (client) system to be used as a mail server, and am leaning towards using Postfix (since it comes with Panther) in conjunction with procmail, feeding the mail messages to s script that scans the messages and if they're re-headered as infected a procmail recipe will quarantine them. There's a couple scripts meant to work with procmail off the ClamAV site.
