so the database contain 23953 signatures but the clamav Protecting against 23768 viruses why this difference between both ?
I restart my clamav in case to read the database again but still the same .

By viewing the files, it appears that some duplicate entries exist, freshclam doesn't remove the duplicates, it just counts the entries.
Perhaps the author hasn't gotten around to this feature yet.
One other feature missing from this service is log rolling, of course a work around is easy to implement, I still believe this should be handled by the app itself.
