Greetings

Im looking for some advice in the connection of the Qmail QMAILPATCH and Clamscan products.

Installation:

Solaris 9 fully patched on sparc Ultra 2

Qmail 1.03 with the QMAILPATCH that supersedes the qmail-queue program with qmail-scanner-queue.pl

ClamAV v0.80rc4

ClamAV is setup to run in local mode, the database updates just fine every few hours, and the product is set to use the qscand user as recommended in the setup docs.

When run by itself, clamscan works just fine.

The qmail-scanner-queue.pl program runs just fine without clamscan built in.

When clamscan is introduced into the qmail-scanner-queue.pl, I get the clamscan memory/resource/perms error message.

I have followed the instructions to increase memory and file resources, and have triple checked all my directories and file permissions. The qscand user is fully capable of independently scanning any file I want. Currently, I have set the qscand user (via softlimit) to virtually unlimited resources and am still getting the error. Just for grins, I altered /etc/system to greatly increase user resources to no effect.

I was wondering if any other Solaris installers had run across this ? Any ideas on how to get around it ?

Thanks
