I think I recall someone else reporting that make install on 0.80rc3
overwrites any existing clamd.conf file. I just confirmed (twice) that
it does just that.

I made my changes to the conf file and put it in place and then ran make
install and then I went to run clamd and it gave the error about
removing the "Example" line. I checked and sure enough, the default
file with the Example line and minus all my changes was there and mine
was gone.

So, I did it again and made a copy to see if I was going nuts. Sure
enough, it did it again. I also moved the freshclam.conf file out of
the way and noticed that make install did just the reverse. It did not
copy the new conf even when there was no existing freshclam.conf.

Very weird. I am running on RH9. I have a Suse9.1 box that I'll be
upgrading today. I'll let you know what I find there.

Oh, also I noticed that the snapshot from the 30th did not compile clean
on RH9. Gave aclocal errors. I removed the aclocal file and ran
aclocal and the make died later. I don't recall the error. I can try
it again if needed.

Thanks.
