I decided to test cygwin clamscan and it hung after a few hundred files
Going to see if winclam has the same difficulties
What is the error from --debug mode in log file (--log=scan.log) ?
What kind of files You think about ? Plain executable or zip,rar archives ?
I'm wondering if Cygwin tmpfile is limited to 32767 temporary files in one running process (if it uses M$ VC++ runtime tmpfile it's probably limited but maybe it uses own implementation ,like I do ;-)).
What is it "winclam" ? I didn't hear about it.
