What about a web page that contains a jpeg immage with exploits ?
the user either has to click on the page or it possably opens
automatically for them. By your reasioning, this is not an issue for clam
?
But if the same image was in the message, then it *IS* clamav's
responsibility to detect it ...

Granted, by default clamav won't scan remote links for dangers, but it
*IS* an option.

I think *most* users don't mind the removal of *ALL* email that is
clasified as virus / spam / uce / etc.
