I will reply to you because I use FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE and clamav-0.80.
StreamSaveToDisk seems to have been removed from clamd.conf.
I don't run MILTER, but maybe Nigel will advise you on that. He does
talk alot on it. I suspect he runs Sendmail ;)

Anyway, whether you compile clamav by hand or from the ports, you end
up with clamd.conf in /path/to/clamav-0.80/etc or /usr/local/etc/
respectively. Respect those two files. What is not in them is not
required, as you put it.

I suggest you address the MILTER problem in a different way by seeking
answers to questions about what it writes in the logs when it refuses to
work, no?
