What version of cgpav?
Did you test cgpav manually (i.e. running ./cgpav and sending it a few commands)?

This shows that your external helper configuration is not what the cgpav documentation recomends. The helper should be set to no restart, no time out if I remember correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is wrong, cpgav should not be this verbose. Did you enable debug mode? ... it looks like it, and the messages sent in this mode do not comply with what is expected by CommuniGate.
