You are missing the point however that were Microsoft to fix the holes in their code (one would think a company worth billions would be able to hire competent programmers and QA specialists) that most of this would be necessary. Some of the holes have existed for years, and M$ stubbornly refuses to address the problem. I wouldn't trust them any further than I could throw Bill's wallet.
