Let's play the RTM game, shall we? This from the Configuration>clamd html
page that you wrote:
--- quote ---
clamd
If you are going to use the daemon, you have to edit the configuration
file (in other case clamd won't run):
$ clamd
ERROR: Please edit the example config file /etc/clamd.conf.
This shows the location of the default configuration file. The format and
options of this file are fully described in the clamd.conf(5) manual. The
config file is well commented and configuration should be straightforward.
--- end quote ---
Off we go to the clamd.conf(5) page where we find this:
Nothing. We found nothing. We then had a look in clamav.conf(5) and this
turns up:
ScanArchive
Enable archive scanning.
Default: disabled.
Nice.
It is suggested in the html that the clamd.conf file is well-commented and
so a reasonable person might conclude it forms a part of TM from RTM, so
we have a look:
Stop the bus! This is were the OP came in, isn't it? He's working in the
clamd.conf file and needs clarification. RTM is the wrong answer, Tomasz.
