I have been running clamav for quite some time now. For most of that time I
was receiving between 1500 and 2000 viruses per day. However, lately the
number is down to about 200 per day. I don't have any users complaining about
receiving viruses so I don't think there is a problem with clamav. Is the
virus volume really decreasing?

Are you doing any other firewalling/blocking ? Blocking dynamic IP ranges
and IP's without reverse DNS put quite a dent in the number of viruses we
found at the scanner level.
