Thanks for the reply, I have followed the how to at

http://www.pagefault.org/howto/e-smith-antivirus.shtml

and everything went ok but how can I check to see if the version has been upgraded?

clamscan -V

Thanks for that, unfortunately it came back with clamav 0.80/533/sun 0ct 17...
which means that the upgrade didnt take %$%#^

this is the method I used.....
Download the yum-e-smith-antivirus.conf configuration file:

wget http://www.pagefault.org/code/e-smith/antivirus/6.0/conf/yum-e-smith-antivirus.conf

which shows the file d/loaded 100%[=======================>]312 304.69K/s ETA 00:00

*Install the packages via yum:*
yum -c ./yum-e-smith-antivirus.conf install e-smith-antivirus

the above line returns....
gathering package information from servers
getting headers from: e-smith linux 6.0 - e-smith antivirus contrib
finding updated packages
downloading needed headers
e-smith-antivirus is installed and the latest version

clamscan -V
clamav 0.80/533/sun 0ct 17

any ideas?

Bob
