Hello everybody.
I have just detected something I think can be a bug in clamav during the
scanning of the attached files.
I'm using RedHat 9 and sendmail in a Pentium IV machine as a mail
server. For such a long time (I think it has been from version 0.73 but
I'm not sure) I have seen these mesages in the log file:
LibClamAV Error: Can't create temporary
file /tmp/clamav-9f5d25c5cab88baa/: Argumento inválido
LibClamAV Error: fileblobDestroy: file not saved: report to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
I was not sure what was this about and I tried to change tmp dir to a
directory owned by clamav user and other silly things, but nothing
improved, the message appeared time and time again.
Things have become clear with the development version that included more
information on the log file, and I obtain this message now for the same
problem:
LibClamAV Error: Can't create temporary
file /tmp/clamav-99139e11e1ea0e2f311a14d0ce971720/: Argumento inválido
LibClamAV Error: fileblobDestroy: EscndaloMrida.doc not saved: report
to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
This message seems to be due to some problem saving files containing
acute vowels or ntilde characters in the filename. The problem is that
these files are not scanned and are sent although they contain viruses.
I have checked it changing the name to one of the test files in the
clamav distribution to include an acute vowel and the file was sent as
Clean.
Any idea to solve this problem?
Thanks and best wishes.
