I have a message containing Worm.Bagz.D which passed through my Exim+ClamAV system. The worm is an exe file in a zip. If I try to re-send the zip from my PC then the same Exim+ClamAV system rejects it. The original has the Base64 encoding as one continuous encoding with no line breaks whereas my PC would be breaking the encoding into reasonable length lines.
I saw a reference in the list archive to a failure to detect Worm.Bagz.D in a different context which is not relevant to my situation. (Perhaps the problem there was actually the Base64?) Is there an issued in ClamAV with long Base64 encodings?
