The suggestions:
1. Get a copy of the e-mail that is causing the problem. Full headers
and body. If the sender is using a MuA like OE, this is trivial.
You can simply ask him to save the e-mail as a file (from his Sent
Items folder), zip it and then let him send you the zipped file.
2. edit clamd.conf to enable the Debug option.
3. Run the mail though clamd:
(a) clamdscan < mail.file. See if clamd segfaults. Repeat it until
you're sure. man clamdscan for details.
(b) grab the debug output from clamd
4. Make an archive of both and send it to the developers. They have a
separate list, but they do lurk here as well so you can place the
files on a publicly accessible site somewhere and give them the link
to download from.
There may be easier ways, but I leave that to the others to detail.
