I am pleased to announce a new release of clmilter_watch, a utility designed to run out of cron to verify the correct functionality of clamav-milter (so it can be automatically restarted if it misbehaves).

Version 0.4 introduces two new features:

Before testing that clamav-milter finds a virus, it tests that it allows through a non-virus. This is to make sure that nothing has gone wrong which could cause all legitimate mail to be rejected.

In addition, this release introduces a new flag, -A, which allows the user to test the functionality of clamav-milter with its -A (--advisory) flag set. In this mode, clamav-milter allows through viruses, but just adds a header, which may be detected further downstream to filter them.

As always, clmilter_watch is open source software, and is available for download from
    http://www.itg.uiuc.edu/itg_software/clmilter_watch/

Bug reports and feature requests (preferably with patches) may be sent directly to me. Requests that this utility be included in the contrib tree of ClamAV should be sent to the ClamAV authors.
