could not launch xmessage as clamav user - xauth permission error as predicted by Stephen - clamav group membership cannot provide permission required - root user only. i don't have to use xmessage - just want something to notify users in x session (popup) that a virus has been detected. security concerns aside, should i try running clamd daemon as root and how do i do this?
