I recently noticed that occassionaly sendmail will print out the following line: timeout waiting for input from local during Draining Input. This happens exactly 2 minutes after data was sent to clamav for scanning. The last log line corresponding to this particular email says: Milter add: header: X-Virus-Status: Clean.
Has anybody seen anything like this? A sendmail bug report page says that:

* Delivery to programs that generate too much output may cause problems If e-mail is delivered to a program which generates too much output, then sendmail may issue an error: timeout waiting for input from local during Draining Input Make sure that the program does not generate output beyond a status message (corresponding to the exit status). This may require a wrapper around the actual program to redirect output to /dev/null.

I wonder if this is something that clamav experiences as well...
Thanks.

Greg

P.S. I am using clamav 0.87|1124
