Hallo all,
I am running an fedora core 3 server and I installed clamav 0.87 yesterday.
After configuring the most important values to connect to sendmail I
have just one main problem in the moment:
clamd comes up fine starting /etc/init.d/clamd start
but when I tried to start clamav-milter doing a
/etc/init.d/clamav-milter start
I revieve an OK but when I verify the status, I get
"clamav-milter dead"
When I start milter manualy using all options listed in
/etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter, milter starts properly, too.
After looking around for hours, to find a sollution, I tried to edit
/etc/init.d/clamav-milter and eliminated the "daemon" in the start
section and suddenly ;-) everything seems to work fine.
The only thing is, that I do not recieve an OK-message after success.
(But I'm not so good in scripting, yet.)
Can somebody explain me, why I got these effects!
