They are not at all pointless. The problem is that some people build
their RBL's based on email headers and not the IP obtained from
the TCP connection.
good point. can you give me some rbls that are known to use the tcp
connection address instead of the headers? Thanks.
If your mail server program is worth a squirt the TCP connection address
will be in the headers. I am not even sure I know of a mail server
that doesn't put them in the headers.
