That would explain why it is not working for me :)

If I have v.88 can I still use any of those signatures?

Yes, I don't see why not, you need to add the ndb files to your normal
virus database directory and restart clamd.

I am so very sorry for asking such a stupid and for some probably obvious question but how would I do that... Once again, I did try to figure it all out onn my own and I could not do that... I am not that expert with clamav and I am using it for my own personal mail server so need of doing much with clamav is not that great as for others on that list... Thanks for help once again.

Download the phish.ndb file here:
http://www.sanesecurity.com/clamav/phish.ndb

When you download it pay attention to where it was downloaded to so you can find it.

Read your clamd.conf file and discover where your database directory is. Copy the phish.ndb file to that directory.

That is really all there is to it.

Some assumptions were made:
That you know how to download a file from a URL and how to find it on your file system
That you know how to copy files on your system
That you know how to find your clamd.conf file
That you know how to read your clamd.conf file
That you have sufficient permissions to copy a file into the database directory.

Thanks a lot, I got it working :) Once again, thank you to everyone who did help me... I feel so stupid since it was so simple...

If any of this is incorrect then find somebody who has the needed skills to help you.

dp

Chris
