Hi, I'm running clamscan in conjuntion with spamassassin and qmail on Debian sarge and am having problems with some clamscan processes hanging when scanning e-mails. Its not on every e-mail and if you scan the mail file manually with the same clamscan options it has no problems. Of our 3 servers this problem has now occurred on two, it happened on one and appeared to be resolved following an upgrade from 0.86-2 to 0.88-2.
The problem then manifested on a previously unaffected server (running 0.86-2) which we attempted to rememedy with an upgrade to 0.88-4 - this didnt work :( Thinking it might be down to the exact revision of the .deb I downgraded that server to 0.88-2 and the problem has still persisted. Our other server has been running 0.86-2 and now 0.88-4 without any hint of the problem. HELP!! Here is a line from top for one of the processes in question... qscand 5539 19.1 0.1 39000 1452 ?
